Systems biology of cellular decision-making. There are a number of opportunities for Ph.D. scholarships at the University of Edinburgh for all nationalities, but the deadlines are early (November each year). Strong candidates with a physical sciences or engineering background might want to consider applying to the Wellcome Trust programme in Cell Biology, which with a year of rotations provides an excellent introduction to experimental molecular and cell biology.
